SRAT Members
Members are similar to a company’s shareholders – they sit above the board of trustees in an academy trust and have a largely hands-off role.
Their key responsibilities include appointing the trustees and holding them to account for the successful governance of the trust.

I have been a firefighter in Cleveland fire brigade for 27 years and am currently the watch Manager of Blue watch at Thornaby Station. I was previously the station manager for the Middlesbrough district working across all areas including Grangetown and Eston.
I understand the importance of working within these communities and the positive impact multi-agency collaborations can have in keeping our young people and their families safe
Sally Hirst
I am a former headteacher with 37 years teaching experience. I spent my entire teaching career working in three primary schools in the Grangetown and Eston area. I feel I have good insight into the local communities, appreciating their strengths and understanding their challenges. Although now retired, I still have an active interest in the education system and particularly in the well-being of children.
